Review-before-send: a founder's LinkedIn workflow

A practical playbook: short list, sequence, review, deliberate launch, then inbox. Built for control, not unlimited volume.

Most LinkedIn "automation" tutorials start with scale. Founders usually need the opposite: a repeatable way to start a handful of real conversations each week without sounding like a bot, or waking up to a restricted account.

This playbook is the OmniReach workflow in plain language: list, sequence, review, launch, inbox.

Step 1: Build a short, intentional list

Aim for 30-50 people, not thousands.

Filter for:

  • Clear ICP fit (role + company stage)
  • A reason to talk now (funding, hiring, product launch, mutual connection)
  • Enough public context to personalize one line

Import from CSV or your contacts. Deduplicate. Remove anyone who already told you no.

A short list forces better messages. That is the point.

Step 2: Define a simple sequence

Keep the sequence boring and human:

  1. Connection invite with a short note (or a quiet invite if a note would feel forced)
  2. Wait for accept
  3. One thoughtful follow-up after they connect
  4. Optional light engagement (profile visit / react) only if it fits your style
  5. Stop the moment they reply

No branching maze. No five-touch guilt trip. One clear path you can still stand behind if someone screenshots it.

Step 3: Review first touches before launch

This is the entire product thesis.

Before anything sends:

  • Skim each connection note
  • Fix flags (missing personalization, odd merge fields, duplicates)
  • Approve only what you would send yourself

If you would not paste the note into LinkedIn manually, do not approve it.

Review is slower than "launch all." It is also why reply rates and account health hold up.

Step 4: Launch deliberately

When the queue looks right:

  • Confirm the send-from account
  • Check remaining daily invite capacity
  • Hold to confirm launch: a deliberate action, not an accidental click

Then let the sequence run within your caps. You are not trying to empty the list in a day.

Step 5: Treat replies like the job

When someone replies:

  • The sequence stops
  • You respond as a human
  • You decide next step (call, email, nurture, polite close)

Pipeline comes from conversations, not from messages sent. If your tool keeps talking after a reply, it is optimizing the wrong metric.

A weekly rhythm that works

DayFocus
MondayBuild or refresh a 30-50 person list
TuesdayWrite sequence + draft notes
WednesdayReview queue, fix flags, launch within caps
Thu-FriAnswer replies, log outcomes, trim what did not work

Repeat. Improve the message, not the volume.

Where OmniReach helps

In OmniReach you connect LinkedIn, create a campaign, build the sequence, add prospects, review the first touches, then hold-to-confirm launch. Later steps run automatically within your limits. Stop-on-reply takes effect when a reply syncs. Multi-account rotation and "unlimited senders" are intentionally out of scope. This is for people who want control.
